what a wonderful photo! I can see that there is a whole box of photos that I haven't yet been allowed to explore.... perhaps I should visit madeira in february after all! ;)
well, i am keeping them in a little box, but actually they are all coming from Mercedes house... Maybe we should meet in Lisbon and take lots of empty boxes with us ;)
And at one point AMimi returned to England and left her three with me - imagine five children all under my wing - APat no longer lived at the levada house - one of the things I had to do to avoid a tragedy was let all the children know if they were to lift as much as one leg to start climbing over the balcony - I would get out my slipper! only the little dog didn't understand that and consequently fell off the balcony...

the little dog was a cousin of Bambina's - she heard the children playing in the garden and tried to reach them with dire consequences...
